The “Publication Rhetorical Analysis” assignment was particularly meaningful as it helped me

improve my writing skills by examining the rhetorical situation, author, audience, purpose, and

stance of the piece. It helped me understand the author’s credibility, audience, assumptions,

purpose, rhetorical strategies (logos, pathos, ethos), and stance towards the subject/topic. By

analyzing these aspects, I was able to better understand the author’s credibility, audience, and the

reasons behind their stance. This assignment helped me develop a better understanding of the

writing process and its impact on my writing.

The Discussion Board is a useful tool for understanding assignments and exploring ideas. It

helps assess the structure of an essay, including paragraphs focused on distinct units of thought,

clear transitions, and well-supported ideas. The essay should provide a compelling analysis of

the chosen inspiration text, use well-chosen examples and persuasive reasoning, and have a clear

thesis statement. Content is essential, with an original argument informed by research from the

opinion editorial. Creativity and presentation are crucial, and the essay should be engaging and

captivating for the intended audience. Genre is another important factor, and the visual essay

should follow the conventions of the chosen genre. The author should discuss their language use,

such as school, therapy, and advertising, and any language loss they may have experienced. The

article should be analyzed using the 10 rhetorical terms (author, audience, tone, purpose, stance,

language, genre, medium, constraints, exigence) and explore the rhetorical strategies used by the

authors.

People must survive, social, economic issues are beyond the government’s power. Two

movements, Po Poets, Poverty Skole and POOR Magazine, use tools including education, the

arts, social assistance, sweat equity, long-term cohousing to combat homelessness, poverty. San

Francisco is contesting a court ruling that would have created 1,500 additional Permanent

Supportive Housing apartments to combat homelessness. The “Never Again” campaign aims to

prevent the Zionist dictatorship from taking people’s pleasure away. The initiative aims to

provide access for the impoverished and address issues like homelessness, disabilities, and

criminal records. The campaign aims to ensure that collective grieving occurs when a group is

affected by multiple fatalities. By December, Tiny Gray’s poem “Gaza is filled with Mamas” will

be submitted for publication. Meanwhile, Palestinian American poet, political activist Suheir

Hammad has released a biography called Drops of This Story and a collection of poems titled

Born Palestinian, Born Black. These poems reflect the state of the globe, including the sacrifices

made by Israeli troops and the difficulties experienced by Muslims in Palestine in defending their

homeland. Poets such as Gray and Hammad make an effort to convey the high cost of goods and

how it affects people’s quality of life. Social media platforms like YouTube videos and TikTok

are utilized to engage users and spread awareness of economic concerns. Social media gives us

further insight into the challenges of others, but writing remains the most effective means of

fostering connections and communicating feelings. Social media, like visual context, makes it

easy for individuals to comprehend and connect with others going through similar struggles.

Writing is the finest method to bring people together.

The essay discusses the impact of rising prices on daily life and the need for action to address these issues. The author uses social media as a genre to expose the essay and reach a wider audience, particularly the young generation who are facing these challenges. They believe that using videos and pictures on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube will help raise awareness and make the audience understand the power of social media in influencing people’s decisions. The author believes that social media is a powerful tool for convincing people that something significant has occurred and that they are unhappy about the situation. They suggest that those who are avoiding reality should inform others, start conversations, stage protests, or seek government notice about the rising prices in the economy. The essay also uses an author who communicates through writing, including social, cultural, political, educational, rights, experiences, or beliefs, to influence the assumptions they make about the world, their audience, and the environment in which they write. The essay aims to persuade those experiencing similar circumstances to take a stand and bring attention to the exorbitant prices of things. The purpose of the essay is to bring attention to the exorbitant prices and initiate conversations to interact with the world and encourage people to think about solving problems.

I use pathos because, although it’s often translated as “emotional appeal,” the term originally meant speech components that may touch any number of the audience’s emotions. These days, a lot of people would talk about a text’s pathos qualities in order to describe how successfully the writer evokes the feelings of the reader. I am discussing the actual problem that affects people all around the world, as if they are all in the same boat. For instance, I discuss in my writing how the younger generation is not prepared for the circumstances of today because they do not accept responsibility, which has prevented them from understanding the rise in the cost of a single item. Additionally, for Although the word “logos” is sometimes translated as “logic or reasoning,” its original meaning was the speech’s actual content and structure. These days, a lot of individuals use the term “logos qualities” to describe a text’s strength of logic or reasoning. For instance, I use images and videos from social media to illustrate how it impacts both future generations and our everyday lives in my writing. Furthermore, we can see that although the term “ethos” is commonly translated as “credibility or trustworthiness,” its original meaning was “the parts of a speech that reflected on the character of the speaker or the speech’s author.” These days, a lot of individuals may bring up a text’s ethical aspects in conversation to talk about how well writers represent themselves. I make an effort to raise awareness of this topic because it affects not just one person but the entire country or the entire planet. Everyone needs to live, but these days it’s quite difficult for most people to do so, especially those who are unemployed or have just one earner in the household. The reason is that wealthy people can afford anything, but they also need to be aware of the problems that those in their immediate vicinity are suffering. Additionally, as the younger generation will be taking on more responsibility for themselves and their families, they too need to be aware of these difficulties.

In my opinion, writing a visual essay differs from writing a standard essay since the former requires the reader to read the entire article slowly, comprehend its meaning, and attempt to draw connections between a variety of ideas. However, it is simple to comprehend the subject and draw connections between many ideas in a visual essay. Thus, reading the entire essay is not necessary. It involves using images of any kind of motion or action to offer a critical analysis of a subject. The pictures can serve as a justification, debate starter, or explanation. Compared to conventional essays, it may be more interesting and remembered. They may also be easier to understand by audiences outside of academia

There are a few articles where I can quickly obtain facts and examples related to the essay topic I’m pitching. Given that this is the most effective method, I believe I can simply compare and provide my audience with more visual evidence by using graphs and charts. Understanding that I am more knowledgeable about the background will be beneficial. This makes it simple for my readers to relate to and interact with my writing. My target audience is made up of regular folks who are also the kind of people that are struggling with the issues raised in my essay. I think and feel that people can easily draw parallels to their own lives. As we all know, there are five components that make up a rhetorical situation: purpose, audience, topic, writer, and context. Therefore, my goal is to raise awareness among my audience about our current economic condition by constantly highlighting how it affects our daily lives and how we may move past it. and my target audience will be regular individuals from all social backgrounds and those who deal with this difficulty on a daily basis. Therefore, my issue is how rising product prices around the world, particularly in the United States, have resulted in a marked increase in product sales. I am a writer. Additionally, there are growing economic problems on a global scale.Author, audience, medium, and tone are the rhetorical methods I’m applying, depending on the genre and rhetorical scenario. Also, ethos, pathos and logos which indicates a technique for persuading readers of an author’s reliability or moral integrity, to persuade an audience by appealing to their emotions, persuade a crowd using logic or reason is to utilize often known as the appeal to logic.
